Before you board.
Is Train of Thought free?
Yes. Planning, riding and keeping your logbook are free, with no time limit and no account. Pro is an optional upgrade: monthly, yearly, or once for life.
How is it different from a timer?
A timer counts down. A train takes you somewhere. Choosing a destination, a reason and a seat turns “I should start” into a decision you’ve already made, and a train that’s underway is easier to stay on than a countdown is to ignore.
What happens if I stop early?
The train stops where you are, and your ticket is stamped with how far you got. The time you focused still counts. The logbook is honest, not strict.
Does it need an internet connection?
Planning does, to find stations and the line between them. Turn on “Download maps before a ride” in Settings and the map along your route is saved before you leave, so tunnels and flight mode don’t interrupt the journey.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later. Your journeys follow you between them through iCloud.
What happens to my data?
Very little, on purpose. There’s no account, no advertising and no analytics. Your journeys stay on your device and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud. Read the privacy policy for the details.
How do I cancel Pro?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Train of Thought. A lifetime purchase never renews, so there’s nothing to cancel.
